MRS. A. KONOP DIES AT TISCH MILLS HOME
Infirmities attendant upon advancing age last night took the life of Mrs. Andrew
Konop, for the past 65 years a resident of Tisch Mills. Mrs. Konop had been in
ill health for some time and was 85 years of age.
Born in Bohemia on Christmas Day in 1844, Mrs. Konop moved to the United States
with her parents when she was a young girl and the family has resided here
continuously since that time. On May 24, 1865 she married Andrew Konop who
preceded her in death several years ago. For many years, the Konop family
maintained the first mill at Tisch Mills and were active in community affairs.
Immediate survivors include a son, Joseph of Tisch Mills; two daughters, Mrs.
W.R. Forst, Tisch Mills, and Mrs. H.B. Hawver, Milwaukee; 15 grandchildren and
one great grandchild.
Funeral services are to be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the St.
Mary's Church at Tisch Mills. Burial will take place at the adjoining church
cemetery.
