DYESS
Mrs. Ida Dyess, age 78, died Friday, Feb. 18 at her home in Rosinton. A native of Monroe County, Mrs. Dyess had lived in Rosinton Community for the past 58 years.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 20, at Loxley Baptist Church with the Rev. Lewis C. Walker, the Rev. Richard P. Reedy, and Elder Clint Schumack officiating.
Interment was in Dyess Cemetery at Rosinton.
Pall bearers were David Lindell, Bobby Darby, Don Cooper, Jack Drasko, D. C. Turberville, and Lester Hinote.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Calvin Childress, Summerdale; Mrs. Riley Wainwright, Summerdale; Mrs. Frank Middleton, Loxley; Mrs. John Arnette, Robertsdale; one son, Roy Dyess, Robertsdale; one sister, Mrs. John Dyess, Stapleton; one brother, Harvey Byrd, Theodore; 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
