Note:(My mother said his middle name was Columbus, but other family members supplied the Charles name. My mother was John's granddaughter.)
John C Noel was married twice; first: Sarah Emma Feeback, about 1875 in Arkansas. To this marriage were born 7 children:

Sarah passéd about 1888 in Ben Brook, Wyoming.
John then married Melvina Jane McGarvey December 23 1888 in Boone County, Arkansas. To this marriage is born 5 children:
Delilah R Noel

Like many in the 1800's and early 1900's John had a small farm. However, sometime in the 1910's John started or bought a blacksmith shop in Pampa, Texas. I have a photograph of him standing in that shop. Also, like most of that era their kin scattered to the four winds.
John apparently had some wanderlust since he can be found in Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Wyoming and Utah before settling in Pampa Texas.
As a child of 9 or 10 I had the pleasure of meeting his son Herbert, who at the time ran a dinner in Desert Center, California. John is my great grandfather his daughter Florence Marie Noel is my grandmother.
According to John C Noel's headstone he was a Mason.
