Charissa de-las-Casas Stanfield, born January 27, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah, died of a broken heart July 11, 2002. Her husband John Andrew Stanfield preceded her in death Dec 7, 2001.

She is greatly mourned by her parents, Pepe and Carolyn de-las-Casas; sister, Carlene; brother-in-law, Kelly Tomlin; nephews, Geoffrey and Joshua whom she loved as her own. She is survived by her grandmother, Manuela de-las-Casas; second grand-mother, Cristy; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews in Lima, Peru. She is also survived here in the United States by her mother-in-law, Sandy Malley; sister-in-law, Kim (Eric) Povilus, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was loved by everyone who knew her. There could never be a better daughter, sister, aunt, loved one, or friend.

Her love encompassed not only the people whose lives she touched, but also many animals who she had a special affinity for. She truly loved her sweet dogs, Gabby and Maggie, they were her special companions over the past several months.

She enjoyed working at Inter-mountain Health Care for the past eight years, during that time she made many wonderful friends and acquaintances.

A viewing will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S, Sun. July 14, 2002, 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 8575 S. 700 E, Mon. July 15, 2002, 12 noon.

She will be laid to rest with her beloved John following the services.
