Barbara Wilson Patterson, 84, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 in her Wichita Falls residence. Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 13, 2012 at Tenth and Broad Church of Christ with Ken Holsberry officiating and Larry Mauldin assisting. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Herndon, Chris Curbo, Larry Mauldin, Jake Patterson, David Wagner, Chuck Smith, John Pool, and Ron Pool.
Barbara was born August 20, 1927 to Rollin and Fayne Cox Wilson in Harrold, TX where she grew up. In 1946, she married Woodrow Paris Patterson in Decatur, TX. They were married for 61 years when he passed away in 2007.
Barbara was retired from Sprague Electric and also worked as a merchandiser for Sheppard Air Force Base. She was a longtime member of Tenth and Broad Church of Christ where she was very active in the Ladies Bible Class as well as other church activities.
Barbara was always willing to help others. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow, her daughter Carol Ann, and her sister Wanda Spikes.
Survivors include her three children, Sharon Kay Curbo and her husband Steve of Lubbock, TX, Barbara Sue Baxter and her husband Mike of Lakeside City, TX, and Woody Wayne Patterson and his wife Sherry of Wichita Falls, her sister, Peggy Koch of Wichita Falls, five brothers, Sam Wilson of Coleman, TX, Jacky Wilson of Harrold, TX, Russell Wilson of Gainesville, TX, Johnny Wilson and Ray Wilson, both of Wichita Falls, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home Thursday evening 7:00-8:00 PM for visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Tenth and Broad Church of Christ Campus Ministries.
