BRUCE W. FESSENDEN
CANDOR--Bruce W. Fessenden, 77, of 241 Owego St., Candor, died Monday, October 15, 1990, at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Fessenden, Candor; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Grace Fessenden, Nashville, Tenn., Douglas and Dorothy Fessenden, Sidney, N.Y.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. Nancy and Dr. Allan Segal, Naples, Fla.; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Fessenden was a member of the McKendree Methodist Church, Candor, where he served as Financial Secretary for many years. He was a retired Machinist from IBM Owego; a former Secretary of the Men's Garden Club of Tioga County for several years; a former Secretary and Historian for the Candor Alumni Association; an Election Inspector for the Board of Elections for 50 years; and an avid horseshoe player and bowler.
Friends are invited to call at the Candor Funeral Parlour, Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McKendree Methodist Church with the Rev. Guy Burt officiating.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Candor Emergency Squad or the McKendree Methodist Church.
