Daniel Harvey Bodine, Jr. was born on Oct 23, 1886 in Albany, Linn County, Oregon, one of many children of William Albert and Sarah Adeline (Richardson) Bodine, of Albany, each a child of Oregon Pioneers who had settled in Oregon in the mid 1800's. Daniel was named both for his grandfather who had lived from 1827-1869, and his uncle who lived from 1865-1944. Both were named Daniel Harvey Bodine. None the less, Daniel Jr., was his legal name and the name used on his Social Security Death Index. Daniel met, courted, and then married Mildred Violet Stout in Oregon. She had been born in Creston, Washington, but had graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1925. They were blessed with a son they named LeRoy in 1932. He was to be their only child. Daniel moved his family to Portland and went to work installing telephones, which became his career. Mildred worked as a seamstress, a job she retired from in about 1972. Her husband died Jan 24, 1973. She attended the Vancouver, WA First Church of God until she passed on Mar 2, 1999. Both Daniel and Mildred are buried together at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland, Oregon in the Garden of Atonement.
