A memorial service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Northwest Family Fellowship, 300 23rd Ave. NE. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
David Gary Jellum was born on Oct. 5, 1956, in Glasgow to Gordon and Ruth Jellum. He graduated in 1974 from Glasgow High School. He married Virginia "Ginger" Morehouse in Glasgow in 1976.
David worked as a mechanic at Bill's Westland in Glasgow. He started his construction career in 1977 with Morgen & Oswood Construction. He continued with his building career throughout his life all over the Northwest, building numerous heavy construction projects, including his "love-bridges."
David enjoyed any activity involving the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening. He was restoring a 1962 GMC pickup for his first grandson. Although all of his activities were important to him, above and beyond was anytime he spent with his wife, three daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandsons and his beloved Brittany spaniels.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Ruth Jellum, and brothers Dennis and Donald Jellum.
Donations in David's name may be made to the Preservation Cascade, 10th Street Bridge, 1409 4th Ave. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.
Condolences may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com and/or www.gftribune.com/obituaries.
