Charles D. Amason passed away on July 11, 2006 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 76. He was born on July 22, 1929 in Hargill, Texas to Charlie and Pearl Houts Amason. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elvira Bitzkie Amason, daughters Cindy Rakowitz and husband Melvin, Sandy Mattick and husband Mark and Lynn Nichols and husband Spike. 5 grandchildren Keaton and Kendra Mattick, Logan and Taylor Nichols and Mashay Rakowitz. Charles retired from Kelly AFB in 1984 as Branch Chief in Material Management after 36 years of service of which 2 were served in the United States Air Force.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2006 at Ebensberger Funeral Home in Boerne, Texas between hours of 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Boerne Church of Christ, #6 Upper Balcones Rd., Boerne, TX on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
