Everett Lemaster, a retired oil field worker passed away on Thursday, December 27 after an extended illness. Born April 6, 1900 he was the son of the late Brice and Mary VanHoose LeMaster. He had resided at Manilla all his life and was a member of the United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mollie McCarty LeMaster; 2 sons, Eugene LeMaster of Catlettsburg and Everett LeMaster, Jr of Williamsburg; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ellen McCarty of Manila and Mrs. Moncie Blair of Jackson, OH; 2 brothers, Ernest LeMaster of Waverly, OH and Thurman LeMaster of Chester, PA; a half brother, John Reed of Flat Gap; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Services were held Sunday, December 30 in the Low Gap United Baptist Church with Revs. J T. Bailey, Lonza Reed, Buell Ferguson, and Arnold Reed officiating. Burial was in McCarty cemetery at Manila under the arrangements of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
