COLUMBUS - Eva M. Wiltfong, 81, of Columbus, died at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at her home, following a brief illness.

She was born April 28, 1921, at Fredonia, to James T. and Mary Belle Morris Seitz.

She lived at Columbus until 1971, then moved to Mountain Home, Ark. She returned to Columbus in 1976.

She married Chester Wiltfong on Nov. 26, 1971, at Columbus. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1991.

Mrs. Wiltfong worked in housekeeping for St. John's Regional Medical Center. She also worked for Dr. Stanley E. Davis at Columbus.

She was a member of First Christian Church at Columbus, CWF Clio Club and B-Crafty. She was a Boy Scout leader and volunteered at the Columbus Museum.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Bentley of Parkville, Mo.; one son, Jerry Coble of Columbus; two step-sons, Phil Wiltfong of Tulsa, Okla., and Dennis Wiltfong of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters, Olive O'Neal of Columbus, and Margie Hamilton and Bettie Neudstadt, both of Salisbury, Mo.; one brother, John Seitz of Baxter Springs; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one grandson.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church at Columbus with the Rev. Joe Gentzler officiating.

Burial will be in the Park Cemetery at Columbus.

Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home at Columbus.
