George Brandl age 62 for 14 years secretary and treasurer of the Whitelaw Cooperative Exchange died this morning at his Whitelaw home after a lingering illness.

Funeral services 9am Saturday at the Brandl home and 9:30 at St. Michael Catholic church Whitelaw. Burial in the Clarks Mills cemetery.

Born in Cato in 1887, he married Anna Braun in 1910 and farmed for many years before moving to Whitelaw. He was a member of Catholic Knights and the Holy Name society.

Survived by his wife; 5 daughters: Mrs. Anton Mrozinski, Mrs. Arthur Eisenschink, Mrs. Leo Zimmer, Mrs. Hugh Williams and Mrs. Hubert Willis all of Manitowoc; 5 sons: Mark, Arnold and Isadore of Manitowoc, Harold on the home farm and Lambert of Whitelaw; 2 sisters: Mrs. John Riederer and Mrs. George Loritz of Manitowoc; 2 brothers: Joseph and Charles of Cato; 13 grandchildren.

The rosary will be recited by the Holy Name society at 8pm Thursday and 8pm Friday at the Whitelaw home where the body will be taken from the Reedsville funeral home.
