MRS. PETER SCHROEN DIES TUESDAY MORN; FUNERAL HELD TODAY
Another of the pioneer residents of this locality passed to her long rest Tuesday in the death of Mrs. Peter Schroen, who died at her home in Chatsworth at 5 o'clock following a five months' illness with throat trouble and penumonia.
Her condtion had been critical for some time and she had been under the care of a nurse for several weeks.
Funeral services were held this afternoon in the Lutghern church at 2 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Re. A. E. Kalkwarf. Burial will be in the Chatsworth cemetery.
Elisabeth Schafer was born in Germany June 25, 1855 and came to America at the age of 17 settling on a farm in Germanville township. She was married to Peter Schroen 60 years ago. They continued to make their home on a farm southeast of Chatsworth until eight years ago, they retired to a home they had purchased just west of the Lutheran church.
She is survived by her husband and one son, Charles, who resides at home. Another son, William passed away in September 1932.
