Twin brother of Samuel H. Letson, sons of Robert Letson and Susannah McClain Letson. Calvin moved to Alabama with most of the rest of his family while his twin brother Samuel remained in Georgia.

Calvin was a music teacher in McCalla Alabama, and there is a hymm in the Sacred Heart collection of hymms from the late 1800's authored by C. F. Letson. He is also great-great-grandfather of the submitter.
