One of seven children of Louis G. and Gertrude Gewehr Dietz, she spent her childhood in Germanville Township south of Chatsworth. Margaret attended country schools through eighth grade.

She married Wayne Wesley Wurzburger in Cullom on June 15, 1930. They had one son.

She and her husband owned and operated International Harvester Dealership in Sibley, IL from 1940 to 1950. She served as bookkeeper and parts person.

She was a member of C. C. W. of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic church of Gilman. She enjoyed quilting, card playing and crossword puzzles.

GILMAN -- A funeral Mass for Margaret Gertrude Wurzburger, 96, of Gilman, formerly of Sibley, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Gilman. Rev. John Balluff will officiate.

There will be no visitation. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Gilman.Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Church Building Fund.

Mrs. Wurzburger died Thursday (Aug. 12, 2004) at Gilman Nursing Pavilion. She and her husband owned and operated the International Harvester Dealership in Sibley from 1940-1950. She served as bookkeeper and parts person.

Margaret was born Sept. 11, 1907 in Chatsworth, the daughter of Louis G. and Gertrude Gewehr Dietz.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne Wesley Wurzburger of Gilman, whom she married June 15, 1930 in Cullom; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Ruth Wurzburger of Austin, Minn.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Bogner of Ukiah, Calif., Josephine Weber of Seminole, Fla.; one brother, Edward Dietz of Kankakee; and four sisters-in-law, Evelyn Dietz of Gilman, Nelda Dietz of Piper City, Mary Dietz of Lewiston, and Rosie Dietz of Cullom.

Three sisters, Alice, Dorothy and Mary; and six brothers, Walter, Louis, Clarence, Martin, John and Leo, are deceased.

Mrs. Wurzburger was raised in Germanville Township, south of Chatsworth, and attended country schools. She lived in Sibley from 1930-1967.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Gilman, where she was a member of the CCW.

Mrs. Wurzburger enjoyed quilting, playing cards and working crossword puzzles.
