Obit: "Former Senator Wallace J. Barnes of Wayne Co., PA, died Nov. 24, 1945, at his home in Beach Lake, PA. He was born near Beach Lake, PA on Aug. 16, 1861.
In 1884, he married Elizabeth G. Olver. Mrs. Barnes died in 1936, to them were born nine children: the eldest, Grace, a missionary to India, died in 1918; the youngest, Mrs. James Fairbanks, died Jan. 16, 1943; Anna, age 5, died in 1900. The following children survive: Olin J. Barnes, Earl O. Barnes, Marcia Barnes, Mrs. Thomas Shaw (Jennie), Mrs. Burcher Sheard, and Dr. Cyrus Barnes; eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Burial was at the Beach Lake Cemetery, Beach Lake, PA."
