Mrs Sarah Emma Pickens, 91, a resident of Prattville, and formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997, at her residence. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 12, 1997, at 11 a.m. from the Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul McLendon officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery with Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Pickens was preceded in death by her husbands, John Pickens and Judson Wells.

Survivors include one son, Jack Wells of Birmingham; one daughter, Margaret Champion of Prattville; grandchildren, Judson Wells of Mobile, Ann Wells of Birmingham, Dewayne Scott of Prattville, J. Dave Wells of Birmingham, Derek Scott of Auburn and Emily Clark of Prattville; and two great grandchildren.
