Couderay resident passes
Mrs. William Allen, 80 years old, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 1935, at Lakeside Hospital in Rice Lake. Funeral services were held at the Couderay Presbyterian Church and burial made in the Couderay cemetery on Wednesday, Feb. 13, Rev. J. Davies officiating.
Mrs. Allen, whose maiden name was Angeline Platt, was born August 16, 1854 in Ohio, moving to Indiana when she was a small child. She was married to Mr. Allen in 1873. In 1885 the family moved to Menomonie, WI, where they lived for 21 years before moving to Couderay 18 years.
Her husband and three of the five children preceded her in death, Mr. Allen having died in May of last year.
She leaves two sons, William of Ridgeland and Herbert of Couderay; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister and four brothers who reside in Oklahoma and Indiana.
