I was born on the farm home at Hilda, September 3rd, 1911, and received my elementary education at Process School.
Further education was received at Alexandra High School in Medicine Hat and Canadian Union College at Lacombe; teacher's training at Calgary Normal School and University of Alberta in Edmonton.
The first thirteen years of my teaching career were spent in rural districts, of School Division No. 4. I still have vivid memories of my first teaching experiences, and of the lasting friendships made there.
In 1947 I came to Medicine Hat to teach for School District No. 76, first at the elementary level, and then moved into the Junior High Level, where I remained until my retirement on June 30th, 1972.
Also in 1947 I met Leonard FLYNN who later became my husband. He is Mortgage Manager for Canada Trust Company here in Medicine Hat. We both enjoy good health; our hobbies are golfing and curling.
