Stacy Bowing Ellis, who spent all of his 67 years of life in St. Cloud with the exception of six years in Valley City, ND, died at 3:45 pm Friday, January 31. While he had not been well for some time, he had been seriously ill only two weeks. He was taken to the hospital on January 26. The body is at the Colbert Funeral home. Services will be held there at 2 oclock Monday afternoon, February 3, with Dr. H.C. Logan, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating, and burial made in the family lot in Rice cemetery, north of St. Cloud.
Mr. Ellis was born July 23, 1873, north of St. Cloud. He traveled for many years for W.B. and W.G. Jordan, wholesale grocers of Minneapolis, and later for Jordan Stevens after reorganization of the original firm.
Mrs. Ellis survives with a son, Albert, and three daughters: Elizabeth, Isabel, and Beatrice. He also leaves two brothers, Allen of Royalton, and Harris of Rice; and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Anderlie and Mrs. Iva Muncy, both of St. Stephen, South Carolina.
