At an early age she joined the Smyrna Baptist Church where she remained until her death. She attended East Depot High School and Ethel Kight High School where she met and maintained many friends. Diana loved her family and was blessed with a special love of people; she shared this love, patience, and kindness toward her children and other children that she was fortunate to raise.
In addition to providing childcare in her home, she was also employed as a cashier at Wal-Mart for ten years. Through these two career choices, she met many nice and friendly people; she never met a stranger. She went out of her way to express kindness to everyone she encountered, thus touching the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Ashley Cameron, Sr.; her brothers, Ashley Cameron, Jr. and John M. Cameron.; and nephew, Alfred Cameron.
She leaves many hearts filled with love and many fun and precious memories to a loving mother, Mrs. Dora Lee Cameron; five devoted children, Jacqueline (Richard) Gaskin, Charles Huzzie, Jr., Tellas Huzzie, Gwendolyn (Johnny) Pinson, and Pamela Huzzie; four brothers, Alfred Lee (Sandra) Cameron, Elijah (Betty) Cameron, Jimmy F. Cameron, and Adam J. Cameron; three sisters, Ora C. Ross, Carolyn Cameron, and Brenda A. Ridgell; five aunts, Viola (Elmer) Moss, Katherine Moore, Bertha Stargell, Mable Berry, and Katherine Cook; 16 grandchildren, and one beautiful great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and a special friend, Mr. Charlie (Rabbit) Williams.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Smyrna Baptist Church with Rev. W. T. Edmondson and Rev. Lonnie Walls officating. Burial will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
