Mrs. Mary A. Hawkins, 88, formerly of 1515 Kansas, died Monday in a Topeka nursing home. She was born May 9, 1883, at St. Marys, the daughter of Christopher and Barbara Roth Getty. She spent most of her life in Topeka. She operated Brownie's Bait Station across from Lake Shawnee 18 years until 1964. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Estelle Bradfield, Kansas City, and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Olson 932 Lindenwood and Mrs. Margaret Spetter, California.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p. m., Tuesday, at Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home.
