Chris and Barbara arrived in New York City, July 15, 1876, and he declared for citizenship in 1877. Chris was born in 1838 and died in 1905. He was accidentally shot by a night watchman. After his death, Barbara married Andrew Goetz and moved to Hays, Kansas, where she died in 1924.
Chris is listed on the AT & SF payroll in 1878. His family lived in St. Marys in the 1880 census. They moved to Kaw Township, Jefferson County, Kansas, according to the 1900 census. The census said they had 13 children of which 9 were living.
