Abraham Hanson (my 2nd great grandfather)was born January 15, 1827 in Yorkshire, England. He married Margaret Smalley on 27th October 1844 in Hindley, Lancaster Co., England. He and his brother Issac came to the United States on the Ship Argo in 1852 settling in Chicago and then on to the Crawford Co. area. It is my understanding they bought the old Clonts Farm. He and Margaret had Issac (my great grandfather) and Anna both born in England, Lucy and John were born in Chicago, then there was Elizabeth, Jemima, Josephine, Edward, Martha and Joseph.
