John Calvin Tucker, 86, who lived on a farm near Birmingham, died Thursday at Jefferson county hospital after a long illness.
He was born near Columbus Junction Feb. 10, 1860, and was married there on Feb. 10, 1893 to Emma Adams who survives. Also surviving are one son, George, and one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Peterson, both of Fairfield. Five children preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Four Square Gospel church in Fairfield, with Rev. Earl Hobson officiating. Burial in Indian Creek cemetery near New London.
