Mrs. Josephine "Jo" Holt Thomas passed away on June 23, 2012. She was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee on January 23, 1924 to Charlie and Nettie Holt.

Jo loved her children, grandchildren and her many friends. She had a vibrant, active life for most of her life. She particularly enjoyed big band music, the Atlanta Braves, watching golf, and was a Cracker Jack bridge player. She even taught her family and friends how to play bridge and other card games. She loved to research her family tree and was delighted to talk about her Tennessean and Indian heritage.

Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lee McCormick Thomas, her sons; Charles Vernon Thomas and Steven Kane Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her sons; Lee McCormick Thomas, II and David Allan Thomas and wife Rachel Cosson Thomas; her grandchildren; Mary Noelle Thomas and Kendall Holt Thomas. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Ruth Robertson and niece, Alyce Robertson of Crossville, Tennessee and numerous other nieces and nephews in Tennessee.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Magnolia Cemetery.
