a Stanford barber was killed instantly shortly afternoon Monday when his car apparently skidden and crashed into the bridge and the steel railing rammed thru the vehicle from the left front door and out the right side of the trunk.
(railing hit Mr. Sims in the chest and head)

Charles Hazlett was also in the vehicle, no serious injuries.

Deputy Sheriff R.C.Baker said the 1957 Chev sedan apparently hit loose gravel along the road and skidden out of control into the bridge.

native of Casey Cty
veteran of WWII and saw action in the European and Africian theatres.
member of disabled verteran organizaiton in Kings Mountain Ky.

he was wounded Sept 11 1944 during Normandy invasion of Europe and was awarded the Purple Heart.
