Jerome Crews, 65 (b. 9 Jul 1933), of Folkston, died Wednesday (18 Nov 1998) at his residence after a long illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Charlton County and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Folkston. He retired in 1990 from the Union Camp Corporation following 33 years of service as a heavy equipment operator.
He was the son of the late William Eddie Crews and Georgia Bell Johns Crews.
Survivors are his wife, Bonnie Hickox Crews; a son, Darren Crews; a sister, Lucille Crews and a grandson, Marshall Crews, all of Folkston.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, from the chapel of Shepard Funeral home in Folkston with the Rev. Robert Wilson officiating.
Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery near Hickox.
