Edmond Dodd Dunegan was born on August 5, 1883 in Elwood, Fannin County, Texas to William Landon Dunegan Jr and Minta Ann Richards.

Ed married Anna May Freeman in 1903 in Bryan County, Oklahoma in the Choctaw Nation. Ed and Anna had eight known children. William Richard, Mary, Joe Cullen, Geneva Minta, Harry Polk, Grace Bell, Cornelius Bartley and Edmond Phillip. All born in Bryan County.

Ed farmed the land his father William left him and raised his family there. Ed and Anna lived the rest of their lives on this land.

Ed passed away on December 16, 1957 at his home in Wade. He and Anna' s final resting places are at the Wade Cemetery in Bryan County, Oklahoma.
