Althea E LaBar 82 of Ackermanville,died in St Lukes's Hospital.She was the wife of Cletus D LaBar who died in 1983.
She was principal of the Washington Township Elementary School in Northampton County before retiring 22 years ago.
A graduate of what is now East Stroudsburg University,she received her masters degree from Lehigh University.
Born in Allentown,she was the daughter of the late Arlington and Elizabeth Reichard and a stepdaughter of the late Lt.Walter G Newhard.She also was the granddaughter of Moses and Senia Rex Hontz.
She was a member of Ackermanville United Methodist Church where she had been the organist.
