Mr. Earnest J.C. Ledbetter age 85 of Cookeville passed away at his residence on Sunday July 1, 2012. He Mr. Earnest J.C. Ledbetter was born in Hunter Cove, TN on June 21, 1927 to the late Ras and Ina (Hogue) Ledbetter.

He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. He is survived by: Wife: Myrtle (Davis) Ledbetter of Cookeville; 1 Son: David Ledbetter of Cookeville; 5 Daughters: Judy McDonald of Sparta, Jean Miller of Norman, OK, Barbara McCrary of Cookeville, June Stinson and Jeri Keesling both of Markelville, IN;

10 Grandchildren Cassi Haney, Katie McCrary, Alexa and Dylan Ledbetter of Cookeville, TN, Sunny Randolph of Middletown, IN, Sara and Laci Delmolina of Anderson, IN, Wendi (Michael) Calvert of Oklahoma City, OK and Carly and Nick Miller of Norman, OK.

8 Great Grandchildren Adam Haney, Derick Munzo of Cookeville, TN, Greyson Keesling of Middletown, IN, McKenna Nunemaker and Camren Blackshears of Anderson, IN, Addi and Keaton Viravong of Norman, OK., and Maisey Jai Calvert of Oklahoma City, OK also survive.

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Thelma Hancock, Connie Hunter, and Mary Belle Mainord, 3 brothers Fate, Ras Jr. "Bump" and Lige Ledbetter. 3 half sisters, Auda Richardson, Ida "Dude" Clark, Nora Stover and 3 half brothers Clural Hogue, James Harrison and John Haiford "Spud" Ledbetter, a daughter Joy Sue Ledbetter and a son-in-law Jack Stinson.


Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Jeff Ledbetter.
