Mary B. (Ledbetter) Mainord, 85, of Anderson, passed away June 30, 2007, at Community Hospital Anderson, following a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Livingston, Tenn., the daughter of Raz and Ina (Hogue) Ledbetter, and had lived in Anderson since 1949.

Mary was a member of East Side House of Prayer, where she was loved by all and will be remembered for her wittiness and spunky personality. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family.

She is survived by two sons, John L. and wife Gloria Mainord of Nashville, and Tony and wife Sharon Mainord of Anderson; three daughters, Frances Hamm and Sandy Watson, both of Anderson, and Ina Smith of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, D.J. Foster, and several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lige Ledbetter and J.C. Ledbetter; a special niece, Leta and husband Paul Savage and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Mainord; granddaughter, Michelle Mainord; brothers, R. Ledbetter and Fate Ledbetter; and sisters, Thelma Clark and Connie Hunter.

Services will be at held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the East Side House of Prayer 1512 E. 16th St., Anderson, with Pastor Jimmy R. Boicourt officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
