Born in Lafayette, he was a son of John T. and Sarah E.(Hoshaw) Bronson. He lived in Andrews as a boy and was graduated from high school there, returning here to work for Alva Livengood at the Big Four restaurant. Later he managed the old Lafayette club.
During the world war he was in charge of the cantonment at Purdue, after which he opened the Bronson restaurant at Fifth and Ferry streets and operated it many years. In 1900, he married Minnie Schreckengaust, who died in August 1935. He leaves two sisters, Miss Essie E. Bronson West Lafayete, and Mrs. Paul R. Leach, Washington D. C. and a brother Edward E. Bronson, West Lafayette.
