HYANNIS - Adele (Lyon) Lovett, 85, died Friday at Cape Cod Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Walter Lovett.
Mrs. Lovett was born in Jersey City, N.J., and raised in New York City. She attended Spence School for Girls in New York and Finch Finishing School in the mid-1930s. In her youth, she modeled and was active in theater in New York City.
She lived most of her adult life in Sewickley, Pa., and Pittsburgh, Pa., moving to Hyannis four years ago. In Pittsburgh, she was a volunteer Sunday school teacher at the Waverly Presbyterian Church and a member of the University Club. She was an active United Way volunteer for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Meyer Rogers of Hyannis; and two grandchildren
