OBITUARY:
Harry Flynn Stowe
CHARLOTTE - Harry Flynn Stowe, 90, 8425 Rolling Wheels Road, Charlotte, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Presbyterian Hospital.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at 15121 Union School Road, Charlotte. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Born Nov. 3, 1913, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late J.W. and Elizabeth Cleaver Stowe. He was retired from Associated Transport and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Pigg Stowe, who died May 5, 2001, and two grandchildren, Lexy Flynn Stowe and Carmen Celeste Almond.
Survivors include five daughters, Shelby Toalson, Mexico, Mo., Linda Keasler, Concord, Harriett Dalrymple and Anita Stowe, both of Charlotte, and Millie Almond, Harrisburg; one son, Lexy Stowe, Charlotte; two stepdaughters, Ramona F. Blackwelder, Richfield, and Judith F. Smith, Concord; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
