Rexilius, Derrick January 2, 1969 - June 2, 2012 Derrick has left us in a sudden tragic motorcycle accident near Bragg Creek. Derrick had a heart of gold! He had a love for motorcycles, German soccer and he lived for the moment. He was a talented mason and was willing to help anyone with anything at any time. He was predeceased by his mother and father Ingrid and Jurgen Rexilius. He is survived by his sister Andrina and her son Andrew Hlavsa; brother Peter Rexilius (Theresa) and their daughter Alexis: Auntie Gerty Benson and cousins from Regina; cousin Sandra Rexilius from Calgary; family from Germany; very close friend Chris Cannon and many friends. The family would like to thank Mike Barry and Shawn Mangal who were with Derrick in his final moments. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502-2nd Street SW / one block east of Macleod Trail at 53rd Avenue SW) on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Life Celebration Gathering will be held at the Acadia Rec. Centre (240-90th Avenue SE) on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
