Lena Mae Phillips, 81, of Tuscumbia died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at Miller County Care Center at Tuscumbia. She was born Aug. 31, 1918, in Brumley to William Elisha and Eliza Jane Robinett Ash. On Oct. 23, 1935, she was married in Brumley to Arthur L. Phillips, who died Aug. 19, 1992. Mrs. Phillips worked for O & R Poultry Company in Tuscumbia and later for Pryor Novelty Company in Tuscumbia until her retirement. She was a member of the Rodden Church of Christ near Brumley. Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Turner and Ellen Horton, both of Tuscumbia; three brothers, S. B. Ash and Bert Ash, both of Brumley, and Farris Ash of Tuscumbia; a sister, Thelma Albertson of Tuscumbia; seven grandchldren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Lee Roy Phillips, preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1998. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. The Rev. Gene Edwards officiated. Burial was in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley. Memorials are suggested to Robinett Cemetery or Ronald McDonald House, 1001 Stadium Dr., Columbia, MO 65201
