Roy Everett Thompson was born September 3, 1909 in Vanceburg, Kentucky. He served in WW2 from September 1942 - November 1946. Roy served his country during the Storm of Normandy. He was part of the mechanics unit and a sharp shooter. He served time in Normandy, France, Belgium and Germany. Roy was married to the late Pearl Hall who is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth, Ohio. Roy was one of 12 children born to the late Lewis G. Thompson and Carrie Huffman Thompson- Payne. Roy was a loving man who cared about many and loved by most.
