Emma was the daughter of Rev. Robert and Margaret Weir Glenn. She married P.G. Fulkerson on July 14, 1869 in Claiborne County. During the 12 years of their marriage they had six children:

Glenn Ewing Fulkerson, 1870 -- 1894.

Frances "Fannie" Fulkerson, 1872 – 1950. Fannie married Herman Y. Hughes. They had two children, Lawrence, FAG Memorial 84723095; and Katherine, FAG Memorial 84580330. Katherine married James Marshall Dyer.

Cornelia Russell Fulkerson, 1874 - unknown.

James Whitehill Fulkerson, 1876 - 1895.

Emma Aurelia Fulkerson, 1877 - unknown.

Francis Frederick Fulkerson, 1881 - unknown.

In addition to P.G., Mary A. Hansard was another chronicler of the early days of Claiborne County. She wrote in "Old Time Tazewell" that two of the sons of Emma and P.G. were buried in the old Irish Cemetery.
