Sulphur Times-Democrat Sulphur, Murray Co., Oklahoma Burns Services Funeral services for Mrs. MARY ELIZABETH BURNS of Troy were held at the Troy school house, Tuesday, May 24 with Dr. CHARLES MYERS of the First Baptist Church of Sulphur in charge. MARY ELIZABETH BURNS was born Feb. 23, 1892 in Paoli. She spent her entire life in Oklahoma and moved to Troy in 1927. She had been bedfast five years. Mrs. Burns was a member of the Baptist church. She passed away Sunday, May 22, at University hospital in Oklahoma City. The family includes her husband, WILLIAM A. BURNS of Troy; three daughters, Mrs. WILLA MAE WHATLEY of Colbert, Mrs. RUTH MEELY of Oklahoma City and DELORES BURNS of Troy; five sons, THEO, IRA JOE, and CLARENCE E. BURNS all of Troy, THOMAS BURNS of Holmes, Wisconsin, and ALVIS W. BURNS of Salinas, California, her father, T. J. BURNS(?) of Indiahoma, Okla., one brother, one sister and two grandchildren.
