Dossie Harris Crews, 100, of Folkston, died Tuesday (Dec. 5, 2006) at her daughter's residence. She was born in Brantley County on March 6, 1906 to King and Arilla Crews Harris. She was a member of Bachlott Church of God. Her husband, Arch Crews; two daughters, Louise Stewart and Virginia Evelyn Hilton; two sons; Hilton C. Crews and James E. Crews preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Clarice Mullins and Freida Nettles, both of Folkston; two sons, Waudell Crews, of Folkston, and Lamar Crews, of Nahunta; 28 grandchildren; 63-great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday night at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston from 6 to 9. A funeral will be held Friday at Bachlott Church of God at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Buddy Allen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home of Folkston.
