Vera E. Haverfield died unexpectedly Saturday, 22 May 2004 at her home.

She was born 7 April 1922 at the family farm in Jackson Township, Richland County, OH to the Glenn Jay and Golda B. Artz Myers. She was a 1940 graduate of Shelby High School and was a member of the First Lutheran Church. She worked at the Shelby Spring Hinge Company and Wilkins Air Force Depot. She enjoyed knitting, glass collecting, and painting on china.

Vera's family includes her husband, Glenn L. Haverfield, whom she married on 25 July 1942; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Gladys Myers, Donald and Frances Haverfield, and Roger and Carol Haverfield; nieces and nephews: Judy and Jacque Hoover, Dean and Gail Myers, and Larry Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Marlin W. Myers in 1995.
