Paul L. Torgusen, 54, of New Ulm died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the New Ulm Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Rev. Grant T. Bode officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
Paul Lawrence Torgusen, the son of Lawrence and Jeannette (Beyer) Torgusen, was born March 28, 1958 in Wells. After completing his high school education, Paul earned two Associate in Arts degrees from South Central Technical College in Mankato. He was united in marriage to Diane Borson May 26, 1984 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Paul worked for Phoenix Bio-Composite in Mankato. He began working for New Ulm Telecom in 2005, serving with Tech Team II and Internet Support. Paul enjoyed astronomy, photography, gardening, fishing and computers. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the little ones in his life, Courtney, Caitlin, Memphis and Mahlia. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Survivors include his wife Diane of New Ulm; daughter Alise Torgusen and son Eric Torgusen both of New Ulm; mother Jeannette Torgusen of Mankato; brothers Peter Torgusen and his wife Nancy of Dell Rapids, SD, Mark Torgusen of Jackson Hole, WY; sisters Mary Torgusen of Mankato, Debra Clark and her husband Carl of Sioux Falls, SD; mother-in-law Deloris Borson of New Ulm; brother-in-law Duane Borson of New Ulm; sisters-in-law Deb Langholz and her husband Tom of New Ulm, Denise Borson of New Ulm; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Torgusen; brother John Torgusen; and father-in-law Donald Borson.
