Delbert Wells Hadfield, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 in Bountiful, UT. He was born March 29, 1923 in Ogden, UT to
George Wells and Sylvia Abi-gail Beecher Had-field. He married Ada Owen Had-field Aug. 30, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ada died Sun. Nov 27, 1977.

Delbert served in many church capacities, including bishop of the Layton 4th Ward, assistant stake clerk of the Kaysville Crestwood Stake, Ogden and Bountiful Temple ordinance worker and supervisor. He served as counselor to President German E. Ellsworth of the Northern California Mission. Delbert was part of the Clover Club Foods Co. family for 32 years, where he served as office manager, company comptroller and executive secretary. He made many lifelong friends and associates while engaged in a career he loved.

Survived by three sons and two daughters, Kimball W. (Peggy) Hadfield, Bountiful, Steven O. (Denise) Hadfield, Carol Hadfield, Kaysville, Daniel M. (Michelle) Hadfield, Salt Lake City, Mary Ann (Bradley) Boman, Pasadena, CA; three sisters, Alyce H. Bai, Salt Lake City, Jennie H. Harris, North Ogden, Norma H. Mumford, Kaysville; and 18 grandchildren. Pre-ceded in death by parents; three brothers; three sisters; and grandson, Nathan.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. Dec 4, 2001, Kaysville 3rd Ward chapel, 855 E. Mutton Hollow Rd, Kaysville. Family and friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m., Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main and Tues. 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church.

The family wishes to express their deepest thanks for the compassionate care offered by Dr. Bruce F. Burtenshaw and the nurses, staff and administration of The Bountiful House, where he spent his last two years.

He taught us patience, perseverance and dignity throughout his life. He was loyal to his family and held his testimony as his cherished possession.
