Carter, Roger J., Jr. A loving husband, father, and grandpa, age 71, of Shoreview, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 26, 2012 after a long, courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
US Navy Veteran.
Well-respected, retired Ramsey County court reporter.
Survived by his wife & best friend of 50 years, Peggy; 4 children & 15 grandchildren: Pamela (James) Hettinga of Utica, OH & their children: Drew, Alex, Matthew, Elisabeth, James, Julia, Lily & Peter; Wendy (Jon) Lano of Atlanta, GA & their children: Tyler, Eric, Liz & Ryan; David (Carmen) Carter of Green Bay, WI & their children: Cade, Quinn & Keaton; and Jessica Carter of Atlanta, GA; brother, Bruce (Gayle) Carter of North Branch, MN; extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by son, William "Bill" Carter; brother, Daniel Carter; and sister, Annette Carter.
Memorials preferred to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. (MDA).
Memorial Service: 11 AM, Thursday, March 29 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 5151 Program Ave., Mounds View. Visitation 1 hr prior.
Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
