Surviving are his mother; daughters, Melissa Sutton, Karen (Jeffrey) Siders and Martha (Greg) Cade; son Phillip (Rebecca) Ash; grandchildren, Tiffany Sutton, Ian Ash, Cleb Cade, Jayde Britton, Albert Keith Britton, Devron Siders, Emily Cade; Jessica Siders, Eli Ash and John Edgar Ash; sisters, Sharon Darby, Janice Evans, Rita Costilow, Rhonda Cavins and Donna Yekey; and brothers, Lester, Larry 'Charlie', Kenneth 'Lenord' Freeman, Richard 'Rick' and Jeffrey Ash.
He was preceded in death by his father, his wife March 5, 2001 and brother, Rexford Ash.
He was a veteran of the Marines.
