FLORENCE - Carrie Lee Barfield David 81, widow of Thomas Roland David, died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday in Waters Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. David was born in Greeleyville, a daughter of Richard Thomas Barfield and Florarene Mathis Barfield (Flonde Rena also called Missy). She attended Williamsburg County schools and was a member of Northgate Baptist Church and taught its' nursery class for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mervin Elizabeth Shea of Columbia and Ruby Lee Martin of Luther. OK; two sons, Clyde R. David and Herman Thomas David both of Florence; a sister Millie Frye of Sumter; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrand.
