SPRINGVILLE- Reuger Parker Hudson, 87, of Springville, formerly of Bedford, passed away at 12:25a.m. Wednesday, August 4, at Stone Bridge Heatlth Campus in Bedford.

Born March 27, 1917 in Bedford, he was the son of William Thomas and Ida (Parker) Hudson. He married Eva Mae Jackson on February 22, 1941, and she preceded him in death on February 23, 1992.

He as a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, having served with the 8th and 9th Divisions during World War II.

Following his retirement as a manager for A.D.M. Company in Colorado, he was a caretaker of the La-Or-Ma Shrine Club of Bedford. He was a life-time member of Bethel Christian Church of Greene County, and a member of American Legion Gillen Post No. 33 of Bedford.

Survivors include one brother, Theodore "Ted" Hudson of Bedford, several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers: Dan, Charles, W. George and Harry Hudson; and four sisters: Algie Hudson (in infancy), Fern Henderson, Ruby Umphress, and Gertie Roberts.

Services will be conducted at 2p.m. Friday at Cresthaven Funeral Home of Bedford, with the Rev. Scott Mallott officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with graveside military honors accorded by members of American Legion Gillen Post No. 33 of Bedford. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
