On August 18, 2011, Mary Katherine Watson Denison had her desires fulfilled by seeing The Lord face-to-face in Heaven. Katherine was born February 16, 1914 to Viola and Floyd Watson in Antioch, OK and moved to Lewisville, TX the same year. She was a 1931 graduate of Lewisville High School and a 1934 graduate of North Texas State Teachers College (UNT).

Katherine and her husband of 74 years, Everett Roy Denison were married June 25, 1937 in the Lewisville home of her parents. She is also survived by 2 sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sister Jane Stewart, and numerous nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, son James Timothy "Tim", brother J.T. Watson, sisters Frances Elaine Watson, Wilma Hughes and Jean Denison.

Katherine was a founding member of Lewisville Bible Church which she loved dearly. She also played the piano for the church until the last couple of decades of her life. She taught high school English at several schools including Little Elm, Slidell, Pleasant Grove, and Lewisville. She started the first school library at Coppell High School. She loved reading and teaching and took special interest in her students.

When asked what words best describe her life, she quoted, "plain and simple". Her advice about life was, "Trust the Lord for your salvation and peace will be yours through heartaches and trials that come. Also, be friendly and love people."
