HANOVER — Kara Miller, 83,
died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, in a
Man hospital.
Born Sept. 9, 1915, in Pike
County, Ky., he was the son of
the late Spurgeon Tolva Miller
and Pricie Estep Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of the
Calvary Baptist Church, Iaeger, a
retired miner and a member of the
UMWA.
He was preceded in death by a
son, Ronald Miller; six brothers,
Raymond, Doc, Brooks, Buck, Elliott
and Bill; and a sister, Fallie
Deskins.
Survivors include his wife of 63
years, Irene Morgan Miller; a
daughter, Mrs. Arble E. (Joyce)
Morgan of Ikes Fork; three sons,
Huey Miller of Ikes Fork, Donald
Miller of Hanover and Denny
Miller of Clear Fork; two brothers,
Ray Miller of Coal Mountain and
Jr. Miller of Bristol, Tenn.; two sisters,
Joan Baisden of Twilight and Elva Hatfield of Coal Mountain; seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday
at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral
Home, Iaeger, with the Rev.
Clyde Robertson and the Rev.
Daniel Dean officiating. Burial will
follow in the Iaeger Memorial
Cemetery, Roderfield.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today
at the funeral home.
Grandsons and friends will serve
as pallbearers.
